Yes. Got to hand it to the man. He was not only brilliant but had an excellent grasp of human frailty. Mistakes are made for learning new lessons. Mistakes occur when we are doing something we aren’t familiar with. Nobody became an expert at anything without making a few mistakes on the way.
We can’t go through life without stumbling from time to time. It’s inevitable. We may not like it at the time but it is how we recover from mistakes made that determines our character.
So go out and try something new. You don’t have to go sky diving (mistakes made there could be fatal) but venture into the unknown this weekend.
Let me know how you go 😉
I so agree! I teach this to the kids I care for. Don’t be scared or too upset about making a mistake. Learn from it and try again. Great post.

I agree completely. As long as they don’t give up.

My motto is mistakes are learning opportunities ( assuming they won’t kill you or another) learning) and learning is the most important thing. Today I have been learning about my WordPress blog 🙂

Good for you. My blog still confuses me.

That’s right. I’d rather have mistakes than nothing at all. At least I would be doing something. Also, if no one else signs up for the skydiving adventure, I’ll be happy to do it.

We just need to dust ourselves off and keep going. Send me the photos of your sky diving adventures. Rofl

My dad always says, “It’s not how many times you fall down in life, it’s how many times you pick yourself back up”. I’m pretty sure it’s a famous quote, but nonetheless it remains embedded in my brain. How true it is!

It’s o great that your dad taught you that. Too many people give up when they fall.

How true—–there is no such thing as a mistake. They are only lessons, and stepping stones to something far greater.

Why NOT go sky diving? I did it. Ain’t nothing but a thing. 2 miles up is nothing compared to the guy who jumped from space. 😉

Still won’t do it. Jumping from the top of the stairs is too high for me 😉
