Why?

  • Why did I decide yesterday to begin healthy eating again when there is still half of my Christmas fruit cake left?
  • Why did the Tween and the GG wait until NOW to open and share their Christmas treats?
  • Why does my “Twitter for Dummies” book still leave me confused about this whole Twitter caper?
  • Why do I still suck at Space Invaders?
  • Why have I decided to make another quilt using the same pattern as last time?
  • Why do I still need to buy more fabric even though I have enough fabric to clothe an army?
  • Why does the word “menopause” start with men?
  • Why does the Tween seem to spread her mess all over the house?
  • Why can’t I make up my mind just what my calling is?
  • Why are there too many questions and not enough answers?
  • Why do I laugh when the GG and the Tween tease the cat? Does this make me a bad person?

Theres just too many questions…….. maybe 2014 will bring the answers. I only have to wait another two hours…..

    1. I went to bed just after midnight. Which is more than I can say for my family. I believe the Tween went to bed about 3am and the GG didn’t come to bed until about 6.30am this morning. Something weird this way comes…..

  1. … because menopause is that special point in men’s lives when they should pause, reflect, and find a good hobby. }:-)))> They’ll be very tired, because *someone* keeps throwing the covers off, and then stealing them all back, all night long.

    1. No worries with the covers here right now. We sleep with only a sheet if that!! lol
And why should women have all the fun during that special time of life? It’s all about sharing you know. πŸ™‚

          1. No (if stuff up is bad, haven’t heard that expression before), it was great. I guess I should have made a post about it, but Belinda reblogged it so I figured that pretty much everyone else heard about it.

  2. I still don’t know how to use twitter, and honestly, don’t have the energy to bother to learn. And Menopause? It’s because it’s finally that time in life where we pause to wonder why we need men at all. lol Hugs, happy new year!

  3. Good questions, I loved space invaders, and spent (wasted) a lot of time playing video games back in the 80’s. I have never played any of the new games. Good luck finding the answers, the ones about the Tween will probably never be answered πŸ™‚ Happy New Year Suz!

  4. All good questions, my friend. Forget about Twitter; find a different video game; there are other maladies that women suffer which begin with men; the one who dies with the most fabric wins; tweens are odd creatures not meant to be understood—or to comply; fruit cake has fruit in it—correct? it equals healthy eating to me; maybe you’re looking too hard for your calling and it’s right in front of you.

There are always answers, even if we don’t like them. We have the power to change directions.

Happy new year to you and your family!

  5. Ugh, don’t get me going on Twitter. The worst part is that everyone else makes it look so easy! My theory is that Menopause starts with “men” because it’s their fault. Everything is. πŸ˜‰

    1. I just don’t understand it at all. I’m glad I’m not the only one. πŸ™‚
I like your reasoning on the menopause thing. I thought Nav’s answer was pretty cool though πŸ˜‰

          1. I am afraid that I must tip my king to Diana in this, for she has effectively checkmated me. I should have known better than to engage in banter with such a beautiful yet devastating intellect.

I’m still laughing at my helplessness. Thank you, Diana, for that brilliant and most enjoyable lesson in humility.

Ah, SuzJ, what’s a poor nav to do? (Besides pausing before speaking in the future, of course.)

              1. What repartee? I was skewered at the very start! Run through. Cut down in the prime of my blogging life, even.

Diana only looks completely innocent, curse that lovely gravatar of hers. I’ll know better next time. };-)>
