Don’t Give Up

Dear Me,

There are going to be bad days. You know that. Don’t let them knock the wind from your sails. If you need to cry go ahead. Tears are not a sign of weakness, they are a release. Grey Sky Days are bound to occur. If life was plain sailing you would not learn and grow. Don’t be so hard on yourself. You are a good person. Stop querying your abilities and just accept the future as it is unfolding. Be kind to yourself. Don’t give up.

From Me

  1. Oh my Sue- sending you a giant hug all the way from New Jersey- and always remember you are that wonderful person you know deep down you are. Hope the gray skies leave soon and the sun comes out again. xo

    1. Thank you. I know there are going to be these days but they still hit me sometimes. Things are ok right now. When I finish up commenting and writing my next post, I plan on tackling some housework.

    1. Isn’t that just the most beautiful rendition of that song? I have a lovely FB friend (who I also know in real life) who posted that last night and I fell in love with it.
And Val, it is so funny that you post about riding the waves of life. One of my guest blogs for another blog is on surfing through life 😉

  2. Just this morning I was in the car wondering how you do it. Where you find all these bloggers everyday. These amazing people all over the world that you bring into my living room and you know what …you are an amazing person. A generous person connecting so many people…that’s one of your wonderful gifts…and accept not only the future as it is unfolding but also the present. And don’t be so hard on yourself. I don’t know anyone else in my blogging community who works as hard as you do. Breath. Be gentle with yourself. Give yourself the love you deserve. And thank you for being you.

    1. Thank you Carol 🙂
I will admit that as much as I’ve enjoyed this Fellow Blogger series, I will enjoy the break from putting them together. I have a few more fantastic bloggers lined up before the end of the month though.
I am planning to walk away from the computer today though. I have a few things to do and then I’m walking away. When I finish the housework, I am going to finish my quilt. 🙂

  3. I believe crying can be good for me, yet I sometimes must be hard on myself if I’m to maintain the discipline necessary to achieve my goals. If I don’t sometimes question myself, I certainly won’t come up with answers. Sometimes being outside our comfort zone is the only way to learn. ‘Don’t give up!’ I agree with that too :O)

  4. Isn’t it nice to have friends to prop us up, when we are faltering? You have such wonderful things to say, I hope you are saying them to yourself as well. Hugs to you!

  5. I know you’ll bounce right back, in fact I can feel you bouncing right now 🙂 I love that version of that song, Pink has a beautiful voice. I loved the original (I think?) by Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush too, when it came out years ago, it’s such a haunting and beautiful melody.
