Morning Meditation

This morning I lay on the floor and petted the Diva. She doesn’t allow this very often at all. I listened to her purr and remarked to the GG that I could meditate to that sound as it is so relaxing.
My current meditation background is Wayne Dyers “I Am” meditation. I breathe in say the words “I am xxxxxxx” and visualise this.
In recent times words have been coming to me. This morning as I began I prayed “what am I today Lord”?
The reply put me a little off balance “I am letting go”.
“Letting go of what?”
“Today you are letting go and trusting.”

So today as I head off to work I am letting go and letting God.
I’m not sure how that’s going to work out.

    1. The day was pretty normal actually – considering it was a day at work. So that’s a good thing. I get used to getting into trouble for one thing or another (not always my fault either).

  1. This reminded me of a sign my husband keeps in his office that says,”Good Morning, This Is God!: I will be Handling all Your Problems Today. I Will Not Need Your Help — So Have a Good Day.”
Hope you have a great day Sue! πŸ™‚

  2. I’m just barely tiptoeing into meditation…but I’m determined to give it a serious try since I’m convinced it would be good for me. Any suggestions for starter meditations, meditation music, etc.? Would love to hear any recommendations!

    1. Okay, I am so not the best to ask because my meditation times become daily struggles within my mind to stop the chatter lol
I started out with guided meditations. Deepak Chopra does 21 day free meditations at several times through the year. I believe there is another one starting in a few days. These only go for 20 minutes or so and are just perfect for me. I have some guided meditation CDs but you have to try them a couple of times until you work out whether it’s for you or not. Right now I meditate to Wayne Dyer’s “I Am” CD.
I think it’s a case of not giving up because sometimes it all does feel too hard and making it a regular practice. Don’t get upset with yourself if you fall asleep or your mind goes off on tangents. Just start again next time and be kind to yourself. πŸ™‚

      1. Wonderful – thanks so much for the suggestions. At this point a 20 minute meditation sounds like an eternity πŸ™‚ but I hope I can get to the point where I can do that! I will definitely check out Deepak Chopra and Wayne Dyer. Thanks!

    1. It’s not hard April but it can be frustrating. I’ve learned not to get upset when my mind keeps going into overdrive when I want it to quieten. I do find however that those few moments of peace are wonderful.
