Unless it pours.
I promise to return to my regular posting in a couple if days. Until then, keep looking for the beauty in life and remember that there are always people who love you.
Blessings to you all.

As part of my routine implementation, I am hoping to get back into my weekly “Through My Lens” posts out and about in Australia.
As you know, last week I went away for the weekend with the Son and my DIL beginning the weekend at the unearthly hour of 3.30am in order to catch the sunrise over Brisbane at 5.11am. We missed the beginning of the sunrise by about 2 minutes but we were there to watch it rise higher. If you missed those photos, you can find them here. Continue reading
As I sit at my computer alongside the open window, the sounds of the bubbling water fountain mingle with the gentle drumming of rain on the roof. Although the weather is much cooler today, my ceiling fan continues turning in a gentle rhythm pushing cooler air upon the skin of my arms and face.
The colours of the world outside are a combination of grey skies and the rich green of the grass and leaves. Lawns that were turning brown only a few short days ago are now revived. Dotted here and there in the this two-tone world are splashes of colour created by the flowers in the garden; bright spots upon the muted shades of the day.
The presence of rain creates a reflective mood within my soul as the desire for study and housework has washed away with the water flowing down the street in the kerbside gutters. My thoughts are skipping to and fro with no particular rhyme or reason and I am reminded of a blog post that I read yesterday by my friend David. Continue reading
What is the one thing that every person on this earth often bemoans the lack of? If you guessed money, you would be wrong. If you guessed happiness, you would also be wrong.

If I had $1 for each time that I have heard someone say “Where has the year gone?”, “Time moves so much more quickly these days” or “I wish I had more hours in the day” then I wouldn’t be counting pennies today. Last weekend, the Son and my DIL took me away for the weekend. We began with sunrise over Brisbane before driving north to the Sunshine Coast where they had a lovely unit booked for the night.
This week, my photo for the MM46 run by Leanne Cole and Laura Macky on Leanne’s blog was taken on Sunday morning.

When looking for today’s quote to share, I found many, many fine and wonderful quotes but I kept coming back to “Gratitude” as the theme for the today’s quote.
I am a big believer in gratitude as a way of overcoming many things in our lives. Life isn’t always easy, and it isn’t always sunshine, rainbows and lollipops; however it can be made much simpler by developing an ‘Attitude of Gratitude’. Continue reading
My weekend began at 3.15am on Saturday morning when i woke up and then wouldn’t allow myself to go back to sleep in case I slept in past my 3.45am alarm.
The son and my DIL were picking me up at 4am so we could travel into Brisbane to the top of Mt Coot-tha to see the sunrise. Continue reading
Or for those of you who didn’t understand what I said “Australia”.
I found this youtube clip doing the rounds of Facebook the other day and was going to wait until Australia Day (January 26th) to share it with you however as is the way of the world, it mightn’t be still available then.
