Monochrome Madness Week 45

I have been rather lax of late in taking part in this challenge and the truth is that I am still quite time poor for taking photos. I’ve hardly picked up my DSLR at all since before Christmas but I have had my little Canon point and shoot in my handbag and thankfully had it on hand for unexpected photo opportunities.

This week my entry for the MM at Leanne Cole’s blog is an old photo that I took of my daughter’s wedding and found when I was sorting my hard drive. I think it converted to monochrome quite well.
She was going to ask me to do the wedding photos but I’m pleased that she didn’t because it is too much pressure and she would yell at me if she didn’t like the way they turned out. πŸ˜‰
I took this candid photo in the breaks they were posing for the photographer (I was well out of her way and took this from a different angle altogether before anyone tut-tuts).
It’s one of my favourite photos from the day. πŸ™‚

  1. Ahh… romance! πŸ™‚

My brother is an amateur photographer. He’s done work using color but he believes that black and white captures more of what the photo is saying to who is looking at it. He says it invokes the emotions better.
