Or for those of you who didn’t understand what I said “Australia”.
I found this youtube clip doing the rounds of Facebook the other day and was going to wait until Australia Day (January 26th) to share it with you however as is the way of the world, it mightn’t be still available then.
So here is my post for today.
For those of you Aussies watching it, I just love many of the iconic images in here and that handshake with Johnnie Howard always makes me laugh.
See if you can spot the reference to “Home and Away” in it as well.
And for record, I have been to The Big Pineapple, The Big Banana and also The Big Prawn.
I’ve been to a few of the other ‘Bigs’ in Australia that aren’t featured in the clip. 🙂
Enjoy.
I didn’t know Aussies called home Straya, cool!! Great video. It’s nice you have no common borders too. 🙂

I think calling it ‘Straya is a fairly recent thing. I thought the video was a lot of fun. 🙂

I’m glad you liked it Mona. I hope your granddaughter isn’t suffering in the heat we are having right now though.

I haven’t heard a complaint. But then, she’s so busy with being there that I don’t hear much. I do get some info from her mother. I think she is now in the process of looking for a job.

It’s a parody of the song “Hey ya” by Outkast but I do really like it.

I quite enjoyed it. Loved the many references in it that probably only Aussies would get though. Thanks for watching and commenting Carl. 🙂

Good! India celebrates its Republic Day on the same day; the constitution of independent India was adopted on this day.

I feel the same way about the rest of the world Marie. I read the blogs of people in Europe and see that they are going to Paris or Amsterdam or somewhere for a few days and I’m like “it would take me that long just to get there”. lol
