Friday Check-In

It’s that time of the week again when I check in and make sure that all is going well in your part of the world whilst I fill you in on mine. ๐Ÿ™‚
Seems like a fair trade to me.

Just for something different I am going to break my week up under sub-headings and dot points.
The week in review:

What I’ve been doing:

  • Studying – lots of it
  • Sessions with pro-bono clients in order to hone my skills (and drain my brain)
  • Taking a few photos
  • Watching My Kitchen Rules and I’m a Celebrity on television
  • Playing my games – Panda Pop, Farm Heroes Saga, Candy Crush Soda and Diamond Digger
  • Reading
  • Meditating and journalling
  • Chasing caterpillars with my camera
  • Walking barefoot on the grass
  • Grocery shopping

What has made me angry:

  • People on social media with no social skills
  • Bullying
  • Doctors who override their patient’s concerns and just increase medication instead
  • Pharmaceutical companies that produce drugs that have horrific withdrawal symptoms
  • People who steal
  • Teens who put a school into lockdown for threatening the principal with a knife (this also makes me so very, very sad that they felt that this was something that they needed to do. Why?)
  • Kat and Andre going through to the next round of My Kitchen Rules

What I am grateful for:

  • The enjoyment I get from helping people
  • Ceiling fans on hot, humid days
  • The Garden Gnome has a job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Now that the GG has a job, job offers are coming from other places
  • Watching the afternoon sunlight on my garden
  • Wonderful friends who help out
  • The health of my family
  • Fitting into my white shorts once again

What has made me laugh:

  • I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here
  • ‘In’ jokes with old friends
  • Wrens greeting the other birds in the shade house mirror
  • My cat

So there is my week in dot points. Right now, it is going to look like a lot more study for some time but I’m loving it.

So how has your week been? Feel free to borrow my format and do your own post. Link back in the comments if you wish. ๐Ÿ™‚ 050a

  1. Yep, Thursday here too – in fact early afternoon. If my time calculations are right, you are very early Friday – before 7 am. You are an early riser Suz – or program your posts. The shot of the yellow flower is gorgeous. My week is proceeding well. I had an operation last week – about 3 days in hospital. I am recovering well and have seen some benefits already. Just a matter of getting stronger and staying positive. Mostly reading and writing – some forays outside and the weather is getting much better. The sun is shining here in Ottawa and the snow is melting – just above freezing today. that alone cheers one up.

Thanks for checking in Suz – sounds like you are staying busy. Be well.

  2. I’m glad your week has been going so well especially your 2 highlights The GG getting a job, and you fitting into your white shorts. I sympathise with the things that made you angry especially the boys at school with a knife but perhaps less with two people going through to the next round of My Kitchen Rules as I have no idea what you’re talking about.
Your picture of the flower is stunning.

    1. Ha ha. That’s alright that you don’t know what I’m talking about David. That happens to me a lot you know. lol
It turns out that there was no knife and it was schoolyard gossip however two boys were arrested and taken away for their behaviour.

  3. Congrats to the garden gnome for getting a new job!!! Wonderful news.

I like reading your updates in bullets. I have a love of lists! Maybe I should try that part of a weekly routine. I am blogging daily now, which feels great!

    Have a great weekend!

  5. Interesting week Sue, be interested to see the outcome of MKR, there’s a couple in there that really piss me off, think they were the ones who gave the lowest score, a 1, she’s a nasty piece of work.
Sometimes I think the whole shows outcome is already rehearsed.

        1. I’ve always shot in RAW (camera mode not any other way) but never had the software to process it. I always knew that one day I would so I began shooting in RAW a few years ago. Now I have a version of PS that allows me to edit. One day I will get LR but until then, I’m blessed with what I have.
